Dr Blake Himel Headshot

CHIROPRACTOR
BLAKE HIMEL , D.C.

Dr. Blake Himel never had a dream of being a chiropractor. As a kid, he thought he would grow up to be an accountant (mostly due to his false childhood belief that they didn’t have to pay taxes). Fortunately, in his late teens, Dr. Blake found his passion for health setting him on the path to become a doctor of chiropractic. He believes that everyone is designed with the potential to express perfect health, and he is committed to his mission to help empower others to take the driver’s seat and steer toward their ideal health destiny.

Dr. Sydney Mitton

Dr. Blake was born and raised in Thibodaux, Louisiana. After studying psychology for 3 years at Nicholls State University, and meeting the love of his life, Eileen, he left home to join the Air Force. He served on active duty for 4 years as a satellite communications technician at Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, GA before transitioning to the Air Force Reserves while completing his education at Life University. In 2017, he graduated as the valedictorian of his class from Life University with a bachelor’s of science degree in biology. In 2020 he graduated summa cum laude from the chiropractic program at Life University.

Upon graduation, he worked with two leading chiropractic researchers in the field of spinal and postural rehabilitation in Cumming, GA. Here he gained extensive experience and insight into the clinical management and relevance of spinal biomechanics, postural abnormalities, and correctional rehabilitation techniques.

As Louisiana natives, he, his wife, and daughter are excited to be back home and surrounded by family. Dr. Blake feels extremely blessed to serve his community at Grace Family Chiropractic.

CHIROPRACTOR
JONATHAN NGUYEN , D.C.

Dr. Jonathan Nguyen has always wanted to become a chiropractor as long as he could remember.  Born and raised in Houston, Texas, he grew up playing every sport he could.  He looked up to several family members in the healthcare field, which eventually led him to get his degree in Kinesiology at the University of Houston.  Dr. Jon then took his final steps towards his dream job as a chiropractor by attending Texas Chiropractic College.

Some of Dr. Jon’s strengths are his strong adjusting skills, his expertise in patient rehabilitation, and his passion for dry needling. He is excited to see what the Lord has in store for him as he serves his community in the Prairieville area.

FRONT MANAGER
MICHAEL EVETTS

Michael was born and raised in Dallas, TX and later moved to Houston, TX.  On a mission trip to Kenya, Michael realized his passion for preaching and teaching the Word of God.  During this time, he became a patient at Grace Family Chiropractic, where he found healing from a severe cough that had plagued his life for months.  In June of 2020, he completed one year of Healing Place School of Ministry, and in September of 2020, he married his beautiful wife, Chelsea.  One week later, he started working at Grace Family Chiropractic and is now our Front Manager.

Dr. Sydney Mitton

He has been blessed beyond all measure and is forever better because of the incredible Christ-like influence of Stephen and Dr. Jessica.  His hobbies are reading the Bible, tennis, ping pong, movies, board games, taking walks and throwing the frisbee with Chelsea.  Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think—Ephesians 3:20.

CERTIFIED LIFE COACH
STEPHANIE MARTINEZ

Stephanie Martinez is a native of South Louisiana and has always derived great pleasure in connecting with people. This is evident in the different opportunities and adventures she has embarked on over the years. Stephanie graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in education and has used that degree to teach in two states, numerous schools and multiple grade levels.

A highlight of her teaching career was teaching in the Philippines and sharing with women missionaries serving in Mexico. Her love of learning and encouragement didn’t stop there. Stephanie was the administrator of a small Christian school for two years where she connected with parents, teachers, and students always with the goal to help them grow in mind, spirit and body.

Stephanie and her husband of thirty years, have four children. Two of their children are biological and two are adopted. However, many more call her “Mom”.  When asked, “Why adopt?” Stephanie and her husband simply felt that they, along with their two older children, had more love to share. This love would come from what Stephanie would refer to as her “greatest connection”, the one she has with Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior. Allowing His love to flow through her to others is what Stephanie stated as her greatest purpose.

Upon exiting the education system in order to adopt, Stephanie had the privilege of serving as Youth Minister at a local church for ten years.  She has also taught for the Boys and Girls Club of America through their Youth Legislature program, and served as a CASA volunteer.  Stephanie teaches, speaks and leads at ladies and educator’s retreats.

In her free time, Stephanie enjoys her family, especially being a “Lola” to her three grandchildren, traveling to new places, fishing with her spouse and spending time with friends. Her recent “Empty Nest” season allowed Stephanie time to revisit her core gifts of connecting and serving, reigniting her passion, which led her to receive her Life Coach Certification from the Life Purpose Institute. She excitedly joins the Grace Family Team under the banner of Grace House Coaching, and looks forward to connecting with her clients to support them.  Stephanie believes when grace and truth collide, we begin to see ourselves the way God sees us.  This allows us to live our best lives and have the greatest impact. Realignment, per coaching, allows you to repair broken thinking, believe in your gifts and create healthy ways to use those gifts to impact the world.  As your coach, she will help you clarify goals, identify obstacles holding you back, and create strategies to help you “change forward” one step at a time.
